DR.M.S. JAYASEKHAR
MS, DNB, Mch, FRCS
Dr.M.S. Jayasekhar is an internationally acclaimed Plastic Surgeon.He qualified in Plastic Surgery (MCh) in 1993 , thereafter left to UK & Ireland for further higher training in the speciality. He was awarded FRCS from Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 1995.
In 2000, Dr.Jayasekhar joined SP Fort Hospital, Trivandrum ; as Consultant Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon. He popularised the scope of Cosmetic Surgery in Kerala, at very affordable prices, writing informative articles in the media as well as through patient awareness workshops. His efforts were acknowledged by national periodicals like India Today. Dr.Jayasekhar left back to UK in 2004 to gain further experience in the newer horizons of Plastic Surgery. He worked as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the reputed Royal Preston Hospital & Pinderfields Hospital in the UK. Dr.Jayasekhar has many publications in international journals to his credit. He is an invited faculty speaker for conferences in India and abroad, and also has the reputation as an excellent medical tutor, and has been a trainer for the MY Plastic Surgery courses in the UK. Dr.Jayasekhar has a meritorious career and was the Gold Medalist for Surgery at the Kerala University level in 1988.

EXPERIENCE
22 years of experience in Plastic Surgery. Underwent training in both India and UK, as has worked as independent Consultant Plastic Surgeon for NHS in the UK since 2005. Has experience in all sub specialties, like- Hand Surgery, Burns, Cleft work with a special interest in Cosmetic / Aesthetic Surgery..Has wast experience in Liposuction, Breast Implants, Facial Cosmetic work, body shaping procedures and Lasers.
HOBBIES
- Travelling – I am avid traveler, my travels have spanned to all far flung corners of the world. I write my travel blogs based on my experiences.
- Writing – I have done both creative and prose writings. My book about the scope of Plastic Surgery for the masses, was written in simple Malayalam, and was published by Olive Books in 2015
- Gardening– one of my favorite leisure activitities, grooming up the flowering plants and planting crop yielding ones too.
- Numismatics – I have a good collection of coins of different countries, which I have gathered during my travels.
